Charity Hospital (Tripoli - Lebanon)

Charity Hospital (Tripoli - Lebanon)

Tripoli has always had the largest share of marginalization, poverty and deprivation by the Lebanese state. These matters reach their peak and are evident in the poorer areas of the city, "Al-Tabaneh and Jabal Mohsen."
After the end of the rounds of violence in the city, these two areas became the focus of attention of international associations and organizations, which in turn carried out many statistics and studies in all sectors (the social sector, the educational sector in addition to the health sector). Habitat 2018, which showed in numbers the horror of the catastrophe and the inevitable explosion that we have realized today.
By focusing on the health sector, which is the basis in this study, all health care centers located near the study area, including government hospitals (primarily concerned with serving the poor), were examined to find out their ability to meet hospital needs.
After inspection, it was concluded that these hospitals are absolutely unable to meet the hospital needs, because there is not enough beds, in addition to the fact that the vacancy rate of these beds reached 0% in most hospitals.
Based on all these data, I decided at the time that my graduation project was a proposal for a public charitable hospital that would cover the needs of developing regions that the Ministry of Health described as "hospital services orphans."
